MDWorkbench for DOORS
MDWorkbench Add-on for DOORS will help you to architect your DOORS
database, to reverse engineer your DOORS schema, to generate documents,
and to exchange any DOORS information with other environments. 
WYSIWYG Document generation via templates: MDWorkbench enables the generation of richly formatted Microsoft Word* documents which can include information coming simultaneously from several sources, including DOORS.
Exchange DOORS information with other environments: MDWorkbench provides an interoperability platform which can be used to read or write any information in the entire DOORS database.
MDWorkbench for DOORS offers information connectivity for DOORS, RIF, UML and Microsoft Excel.
For more complex needs, the complete MDWorkbench version extends the interconnectivity to any off-the-shelf applications such as IBM Rational / Telelogic (Rhapsody, Statemate, DOORS, System Architect, RSx, Rose), Vitech Corporation (CORE), MathWorks (Simulink, Stateflow), Dassault Systems (Cecilia OCAS & AltaRica code), Microsoft (Excel, Visio, Project, Word), others sources (CADM / DoDAF / AGATE, AUTOSAR, RIF, MEGA), and the ability to add any other data sources to support legacy or proprietary applications.
SODIUS also provides comprehensive applicative frameworks targeting specific domains such as Defense and System Engineering.
For IBM Rational Rhapsody users, MDWorkbench is sold by IBM under the name RulesComposer (part number D09P1LL).

Use Java and EMF to develop DOORS-based services
MDWorkbench is based on Eclipse and enables real model-driven system engineering approaches, allowing to manipulate DOORS through an Eclipse EMF Java API instead of DXL.
Accessing DOORS information becomes as simple as
“myModule.getObjects(0).getObjectHeading()”
to get an ObjectHeading for an Object. Or
“myObject.getInLinks().isEmpty()”
to see if an Object has any links to it.
Generate template-based documents for DOORS
MDWorkbench allows you to access your DOORS information within MS Word* to generate documents that will sort and display modules, objects with attributes and links in an automated way. MDWorkbench also provides a unique way to display topological diagrams and produce rich layouts of your documents, using the full power of Word.

MDWorkbench allows a visual navigation of any DOORS database offering topological views of its structure.

MDWorkbench for DOORS takes benefit of the EMF compare functionality in Eclipse and can provide a hierarchical view of the DOORS databases differences or changes made with an easy navigation. This allows to quickly identify appropriate data and afterwards run clean up or merge in good conditions.
